The business results of Nova banka, characterized by outstanding efficiency and positive trends in growth, capitalization, and liquidity, have attracted attention beyond the borders of the region, positioning the Bank as one of the most remarkable examples of successful business transformation.
Within the framework of the Supply Chain Management course at Lauder Business School, President of the Management Board of Nova banka, Siniša Adžić, and Member of the Management Board of Nova banka, Boris Dragić, held a guest lecture for students of the master’s programme International Management and Leadership.
The lecture focused on the successful business transformation of Nova banka during the period from 2020 to 2025, with emphasis on strategic management elements, creating the right environment for employees and the challenges of leadership in the modern banking sector. Students had the opportunity to learn what the transformation process of a financial institution looks like, how change is managed in a dynamic market environment, and how technological development, organizational change, and the human aspect of business are balanced..
“It was a great honour for me to present the development journey and transformation of Nova banka to students from different parts of the world at the invitation of Mr. Yaroslav Shymanskyi, lecturer at Lauder Business School. I am particularly pleased that we had the opportunity to share experiences on how a strong business transformation can be achieved even in highly challenging market conditions through a clear strategy, investment in people, changes in organizational culture, and a strong focus on clients. I believe that the exchange of experiences and the connection between business practice and the academic environment are essential for the development of new generations of leaders, and Nova banka will always support initiatives that encourage knowledge, open dialogue, and international cooperation,” stated Siniša Adžić.
The lecture was organized in cooperation with Mr. Yaroslav Shymanskyi, lecturer within the International Management and Leadership programme at Lauder Business School.
“The students responded to the lecture with genuine enthusiasm, and their engagement made the visit all the more rewarding. But the deeper point was this: business is not primarily about machines, numbers, or processes. It is about people. Building an environment where people can do meaningful work, develop, and find satisfaction in what they do is not idealistic, it is a real and achievable standard. Nova banka is proof of that, and that is what made this meeting worth having,” stated Mr. Yaroslav Shymanskyi.
Lauder Business School is an internationally accredited university of applied sciences in Vienna, specialising in business education. Accredited by both AQ Austria and the American ACBSP, its degrees are recognised across European and American higher education frameworks. Students from more than 47 countries study entirely in English, creating one of the most internationally diverse learning environments in the region, with a curriculum that consistently bridges academic knowledge and professional practice.
The school campus is located in the historic district of Döbling in Vienna, in a setting connected with the heritage of the Rothschild family, which further contributes to the unique combination of history, international environment, and modern business education.
This type of cooperation provides students with the opportunity, in addition to theoretical knowledge, to gain direct insight into real business transformations and the experiences of leaders from the regional financial sector, confirming the importance of connecting the international academic environment with the modern business world.
